The 8th has arrived and a new creatively charged collabor88 has opened!  May is a month that merges from Spring to Summer, warmer weather, and visions of sunny afternoons spent at the beach.  The continually impressive Cory Edo brings to this round a gorgeous beach bungalow and decor.  I am not a beach person but this beautiful bungalow is extremely versatile, sitting on a beach or on a waterfront plateau, you will want to add this to your Second Life

With matching decor, you get a fabulous Summer color palette.  Hanging planters and antique cabinets will fill this bungalow with charm and comfort.  Check out the great life preserver decor, it hides the controls for doors and windows!  For more amazing images of the bungalow, please visit the official Trompe Loeil website.

In this interior shot, I am wearing a few items from The Mens Department May collection.  Belleza has brought a special edition of Jonas to this round of TMD.  Jonas was the first skin I purchased when I joined Second Life  so to see him back in action was a great blast to the past and a reminder of how much I have always liked this skin.  For a mere 150L, I suggest you get on over to TMD and snatch it up!

My retro shirt is from bleak who have quickly become a favorite of mine.  The pattern of this shirt was just too hard to resist and fit perfectly with my nostalgic mood.

Check out my realistic hat from DECO!  I usually do not wear baseball caps in Second Life because I have yet to find one that I like.  I’m very picky about ball caps, they can’t be too high or too big of a brim.  I like a cap that is fitted, snug and soft.  This is just that cap!

The ARCADE Gacha Event has been an absolute pleasure and blast to cover.  I am so anxious to take Mrs. Raynier to get all the amazing things offered.  My inner child has been on constant overload and it’s been a great balm to my busy and frustrating week.  Be sure to make time this weekend to attend the event, it opens on the 15th officially!

The Arcade Gacha Event Preview-Feed Your Inner Child!I

It is almost time for the ARCADE Gacha Event,opening to the public on September 15th!  I am excited to bring you a preview of the venue and the amazing items you can find within this fun filled event.   Set in a penny arcade theme, you are immediately taken into a whimsical world that is sure to get your inner child to perk up.

I spent a good hour emptying my coins into the gacha machines.  Here are a few of my fantastic finds!  The afternoon was spent enjoying my new toys and I can’t wait for Mrs. Raynier to get home so we can play together.  My inner child is grinning from ear to ear, this was just the pick me up I needed.  Be sure to put your Lindens aside for the event, you are sure to snag something that will have you grinning and doing cartwheels over.  Have fun, and be sure to share your finds on the official FLICKR group.   When the gates open to the public, I hope to see you there, I’ll be the crazy guy feeding any machines Mrs. Raynier wants a rare from!

Residents on the grid have been waiting with tapping feet and eagerness for the much anticipated launch of FATEwear by the multi-talented Damien Fate.  Male mesh clothing, made with the utmost of detail and fluidity and charm is what FATEwear brings to the fashion community.  From the creation of FATE Island, an entirely mesh build, the buzz has been high and each little teaser photo has made our mouths salivate like Cujo!  We want the mesh and boy are we getting it!

I am honored and elated to bring you a sneak peak of FATEwear before the official store opening tomorrow, September 8th 2012!  Those of us who follow Damien on social networks know that he has done nothing but breathe and create for this amazing launch.  With a plethora of items and variety, FATEwear will no doubt be filling closets across the grid with amazing menswear.   Just look at the packaging in my photo, I wore it as a prop and it has such detail I swear I can smell the leather!

Late Night On Maudlin Street

August continues to be very busy for events and covering them.  I may need a vacation after this week is over!  That or I seriously need a few clones.

I liked to add decor and furnishings to the house that catch my eye and add a realism to my environment.  For The Mens Dept, Kaz Nayar, brilliant mind behind PILOT created the Bridges Bar Cart.  It is mesh of course, and only 7 land impact!  One single item, and all that detail, not to mention at a ridiculously low price at TMD this month.  This piece is a particular favorite of mine due to the simple fact it is rather timeless.  I could have put it in a shot to cover some more vintage goodness, or  placed it in a VIP room of a club.  Versatile decor is what I have grown to expect but more so appreciate from PILOT.

You’ve been starin at my boots havent you?  Me too, they are pretty amazing.  New mesh J’s Studded Long boots by JD Gazov are a blast from my past with the style and studs, I had to have them.  With a simple easy menu to control the boot tops, you have options to have them straight, lowered or flopped down.  They come in several colors and fit like a glove.

The Mens Dept-August: I Promise You I Will

August 2012 has been the busiest month of my SecondLife!  How many events do we have going right now and more to come when the 8th rolls around.  The Mens Dept August collection is just superb.  This is still my favorite event as it offers a little bit of everything for the men yet versatile enough to have many unisex items for everyone to enjoy.

One creator that I discovered about a month ago has really impressed me from day one.  Tegan Sara of floorplan creates the type of home decor and furnishings that I just adore.  From fun colored dressers to catchy little wall message boards, I have had a great time decorating with floorplan items.  You can get an amazing steal of a deal at The Mens Dept this month from floorplan, and Tegan just added an additional color set.

I am very fond of Cracked Mirror’s mens line.  I made sure my shy genes were stuck in a vault so I could rave to her about the shirt and shorts she has out at The Mens Dept this round.  I love a short sleeved shirt, and one made of mesh, with proper rolled sleeves that do not bulk into your body or leave gaps of space, and a tie to boot, yeah Cracked you rocked this shirt hard lady and I’m gonna wear them till they have holes in them!

I coupled my ensemble with man items from FaMESHed another amazing event that I never miss.  I hope you are enjoying the amazing packed full of events month of August, stay tuned for more items from the grids fabulous event organizers and creators.
