Spring is blossoming rather beautiful, the birds are chirping, the bees buzzing and a sense of newness has filled the air. Over at FATEwear, this newness keeps abounding and we gents are surely thankful! Damien Fate has just released the Spring line part 2, containing fresh textured shirts, shorts and light pants for our Springtime to burst into color. The lovely Springy pose is from Exposeur and available for Pose Fair 2013. It was perfect for a little time with Mrs. Raynier which has been admittedly scarce with our busy schedules. Treasure even the smallest moments, they are worth every second!

The Men’s Department this round is a great place to get the guys in your life awesome Valentine’s Day gifts. You know it can be hard to shop for dudes, especially if they are not very into clothes. This is an aspect of The Men’s Department that I really like, it’s not all about clothes! You have a wide array of decor and furnishings for your house. In this case I made a small man space with all TMD items to give you an idea of the items you can put on your list for that special guy or gal in your life. Again, another part of the TMD that I love, it’s not just for the dudes!

Isla Gaelach of Cheeky Pea created the amazing MapMe Antigue letters for this round and I gotta tell ya, mesh letters with map roads upon them, badass! They also come in the non-antique.

floorplan has two items to offer this TMD and one is a must have for all Sci Fi and 80′s fans. The Flux Capacitor! It has beautiful detail and it flashes with subtle strobe light. Also the oh deer wall decor, which I really like, the antlers are just perfect.

Grab a seat in the new Shell chairs from HANDverk, the detail is fabulous.

Not sure what to wear for Valentine’s day, go grab this great shirt/tie/cardigan ensemble from Pumpkin. Two versions, one with hearts on the shirt and one in plain white. Go for the hearts, that special someone will love them!

Don’t like to be perfectly shaved, me either, but clean up a bit more for Valentine’s day, especially around the mouth, makes that kiss a helluvalot better! The jawline beards from bleak are perfect for this and come in dark and light.

Couple the cardigan with this modern looking metallic ring from KOSH, it has a matching necklace too.

Snatch up the new poses from POSEOLOGY, they work fabulously with mesh items!

Crash Into Me

New releases from FATEwear came out this week and they are as exceptional as the prior releases. I find myself wearing Damien Fate’s clothing more than any other designer. There are a few simple reasons why; perfect fit and versatility. One of the things that I admire about Damien, aside from his amazing talent as a mesh creator is the fact that he listens to his customers. The guys were asking for more pants, he gave them more pants. The guys asked for more corduroy pants, with thicker cords, and low and behold we have more. Stylish and simple, the FATEwear line is one you can wear and feel good in it, look good in it, and get admired for all of the above.

This release has a set of beautifully textured and designed blazers with turtlenecks for Winter. I am admittedly not a fan of turtlenecks, never have been, I loathe anything binding or tight around my neck past a shirt and bowtie. This is likely due to the fact I was being chocked by the umbilical cord at birth! But I made the exception as this combination from FATEwear is just gorgeous. The added classy touch of a kerchief in the pocket, yeah that’s just heavenly!

Additionally this release brings to the growing FATEwear line, a set of leather pants that can work with just about any combination your couture mind can conjure up. Be creative in your style, and have fun with it, and always be true to your look.

Now if I can just get a bit more whispers in Mr. Fate’s ear to create bowties, I may actually reach a state of true nirvana! Thank you Damien, yet again for an amazing release. You can see more of this release on the official FATEwear site.

The Men’s Dept-December: It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go. A world of snow and festive lights abound in SecondLife. Events have holiday themed items and goodies for all to join in the festive cheer. The December round of The Men’s Department is filled with such items and as I always encourage, do not look at this event as a MEN ONLY event, for there are far too many great things to get there for everyone.

A few of those items kicked off December for Mrs. Raynier and I. Decorating the house and Christmas tree a bit earlier than I usually do, we ended up having a nice afternoon in our home, by the fire, with a few of our beloved kitties. That we ended up in a tangled mass of blinking lights and love is no surprise. Thanks to a wonderful collaboration from Cheeky Pea and oOo Studio, we found the holiday spirit.

FAIR-We Will Stand Tall And Face It All,Together

FAIR is going strong and so is this eventacular month of October! It is finally cooling down in Southern California, which is divine considering just last week we were in the double digits.

It is one of those days where waking up to cloudy skies and the sun peeking through makes for a lush ambient lighting that I wanted to recreate for this image.

I am wearing the Ryan skin, offered by Tableau Vivant for FAIR. It is a nice medium tone that can be used by quite a different array of styles. Make sure you demo it as I used a windlight heavy situation for this photograph and the tone will likely look different on your actual avatar.

The bed is a collaboration from Art Dummy and flowey and it is so lovely and clean, simple and fresh, you do not want to get out of it!

Gabriella’s hair is Reema from Alice Project for FAIR. I like the bangs they add a softness to the style that is beautifully feminine.

We really love the nordari weathered afternoon shelf/cabinet unit. The colors are fun and very Autumn-like.

Our morning coffee is a perfect What Next blend of crisp, full bodied and absolutely original flavor, the Rise & Shine coffee tray has it all, even the mail!

Among The Fields Of Gold

The Mens Dept brings a great amount of creativity to the grid in one convenient place each month. For October, I am excited that the items are very cool to cold weather appropriate. This high detail parka from the brilliant duo of 22769 is just the perfect kind of jacket I like to wear when the weather cools off. Being in Southern California, we do not get very cold weather, and being hot blooded I tend to not wear anything warmer than what you see me in below.

KOSH joins this round of TMD with a bracelet and necklace set called Copeck. The detail is wonderful, and it comes in a few choices of metals. I have on the antique, it reminded me of old skeleton keys which I love.

The footwear I have on is also from this new round of TMD, brought to you by LOVE RE ME, this pair of brown boots could not be more perfect for the Autumn season. They also come in different colors, red, black and the brown you see me wearing. You can get all the great gear at TMD on October 5th!

Available now, the buttons I am wearing on my jacket are from Sway’s and are a gacha item which makes them even more fun since we all know how addicted to gachas I am! I wear Spain and France in honor of my ancestors. Which will you pin, find out over at Sway’s!

Hello October!

It is the1st day of October! Yet with 105 degree weather in California, you would think it was mid-Summer, the weather has been absolutely a scorcher. It’s a good thing I can have my Autumn weather in SecondLife or I might go crazy. With a new month brings a new round of events and as usual there are some amazing finds!

The Men’s Dept. will open on October 5th for this new collection. The tattoo I am wearing can be purchased during the event, it is by Vestigium, high detailed and very life like.

I paired it up with my purchases from faMESHed which opened its doors to the public today and it is full of mesh greatness yet again. I picked up these great jeans from Sleepy Eddy, with great deep pockets and slight lift to the cuff, I won’t be taking these off any time soon.

My hair is another great item from faMESHed from Alice Project called Aiden. I have been hoping for mesh hair from Alice Project for awhile now. Every time I go to faMESHed I see the great styles and pout because there are none for us guys, well no more pouting, that’s all changed! A great start to October, hope yours proves the same.

The Mens Dept-August: I Promise You I Will

August 2012 has been the busiest month of my SecondLife! How many events do we have going right now and more to come when the 8th rolls around. The Mens Dept August collection is just superb. This is still my favorite event as it offers a little bit of everything for the men yet versatile enough to have many unisex items for everyone to enjoy.

One creator that I discovered about a month ago has really impressed me from day one. Tegan Sara of floorplan creates the type of home decor and furnishings that I just adore. From fun colored dressers to catchy little wall message boards, I have had a great time decorating with floorplan items. You can get an amazing steal of a deal at The Mens Dept this month from floorplan, and Tegan just added an additional color set.

I am very fond of Cracked Mirror’s mens line. I made sure my shy genes were stuck in a vault so I could rave to her about the shirt and shorts she has out at The Mens Dept this round. I love a short sleeved shirt, and one made of mesh, with proper rolled sleeves that do not bulk into your body or leave gaps of space, and a tie to boot, yeah Cracked you rocked this shirt hard lady and I’m gonna wear them till they have holes in them!

I coupled my ensemble with man items from FaMESHed another amazing event that I never miss. I hope you are enjoying the amazing packed full of events month of August, stay tuned for more items from the grids fabulous event organizers and creators.
