April 8th is fast approaching and you know what that means, Collabor88 time!  As usual, Intrigue Co. creator Katharine McGinnis brings one of her amazingly fun and whimsicle creations to the event.  This round we get the Kitschy Kittens, full of mischeif, charm, and a variety of looks, how completely awesome are these!

Get one, or the whole set for that cat lover you hold dear, or for the little one in the family, no matter your reason for getting one or all of these cute little kittens, they are sure to bring you a grin.  Now if you will excuse me, my Kitschy Kittens need to warm up for their performance so they are nothing less than meowvelous!

The Arcade-Intrigue Co.

The Arcade is almost here and I am already like a kid in the candy store, running around excitedly, trying to get all the goodies!

I can’t even begin to describe the magnificently created Circus from Intrigue Co. Katharine McGinnis has simply captured one of the most beloved things in life for me, circus by way of little plushies.  And not just any plushies, these are so detailed I truly have to say that in real life I would pay big money to have them, especially my favorite animal, the tiger!

Collabor88 January 2013!

That 8th sneaked up on me this new year, but it has proven to be a tremendously impressive Collabor88 thus far!  Kicking off 2013, the blogger team of Collabor88 were honored with creating this months palette for the designers.  With rich emeralds, golds and hues of copper and soft woods, it definitely has a crisp new feel to it which is just perfect for a new beginning.

I was very pleased to see a lovely skybox by PILOT this round which I am leaving on my sim for good.  The simplicity of it is just perfect and the beamed ceiling adds something completely fresh yet classic to the structure.  The tones are warm, inviting and offer a great canvas to brighten it up or keep it tranquil.  Hardwood floors and bay windows add to the crisp clean feel, making this a structure with endless possibilities.

Collabor88 January

Cheeky Pea creative genius Isla Gaelach never ceases to impress me with her furnishings and decor.  The Ansel set for Collabor88 is inline with this lovely fresh, crisp feel for the new year.  With an emphasis on lighting, subtle to charming, the tonal qualities of the furnishings and decor truly bring to mind an Earthen feel, which for me equals cozy and safe.  The exceptionally detailed atrium is rather mesmerizing and brings life to this room in a rather magical way.  Rustic tables to place old well worn and loved books, candles and the like speak of a home that is lived in rather than a museum to just admire.    The seating come in two types; PG & ADULT, and each packed with tons of smooth lush animations.   Original mesh at its absolute best, a staple in Cheeky Pea creations.

Collabor88 January

My favorite item from this round of Collabor88 is the Intrigue Co.’s Oz mobile.  The rainbow makes me think of my Gabriella, and the whimsical quality simply gave me a reason to grin.  I will be relocating the mobile to a very special room that is being decorated this month for a very special collaboration between Gabriella and myself.  More on that in the weeks to come!

The Arcade Gacha Events: December!

December 1st is just around the corner, and with the Winter holiday it brings about a spectacular December round of the Arcade Gacha Events!  An event that I personally can not resist, for I am addicted to gachas and the atmosphere of the old time penny arcade and carnival just makes my inner child ecstatic!

Anyone who spends even a minute with me will quickly learn that I am a total geek, a clown and a big kid.  This event could not be more appealing unless it had dancin’ gators singin’ Jambalaya with me.  The moment I step foot on the boardwalk of the Arcade location, I grin.  And not some super model grin, no, not even the stoic royal family grin, nope not me.  I lay on the huge cheesy grin because that moment I see those gacha machines, the colors and light, the new beautiful carousel, my inner child takes over and runs for the doors.

With a firm push of hand and sneaker to the doors, I immediately looked around with big eyes and bouncing heels.  The chime and ding ding clatter clang of the gacha machines sang the melody that would boost my determination to get all the shiny things to take home to Mrs. Raynier.  For how better to woo your lady fair or dashing lord than to bring them treasures aplenty, laid at their feet!

The addition of the amazing pinball machine gachas, the claw machine and fortune teller,  had me reminiscing about my childhood.  I emptied my pockets into all the machines and was extremely lucky to get a few things right away that would be in my booty of treasure to bestow upon ma cherie amour Gabriella.  No matter what it may be, if it has rainbows or pink, I have to get it for Gabby!

A few machines were not so nice and I called them several curses in French and may have kicked them a time or twenty.  But that is the fun of the gachas, you might get really lucky on your first round, you may still have that elusive shiny item not come to you after 583 tries!  Yeah, I get the gacha fever, and my inventory swells due to it.  So I hope like me, you planned ahead and tucked away your gacha monies, because this round is beyond my vocabulary to describe properly, you simply have to see it to believe it!  Oh and don’t tell Mrs. Raynier, she isnt gettin the tiara, it’s mine!

I spent a good hour emptying my coins into the gacha machines.  Here are a few of my fantastic finds!  The afternoon was spent enjoying my new toys and I can’t wait for Mrs. Raynier to get home so we can play together.  My inner child is grinning from ear to ear, this was just the pick me up I needed.  Be sure to put your Lindens aside for the event, you are sure to snag something that will have you grinning and doing cartwheels over.  Have fun, and be sure to share your finds on the official FLICKR group.   When the gates open to the public, I hope to see you there, I’ll be the crazy guy feeding any machines Mrs. Raynier wants a rare from!

Stubborn Ram

I have had a lot of catching up to do with so much to blog on the grid.  I may need a vacation after this!  But I finally made time to blog one of my favorite items, Intrigue Co. pajamas.  If you do not own a pair of pajamas from Intrigue Co. you are missing out on some great fun!  No matter how down I am or how horrid the day is going, if I put on a pair of Katharine McGinnis’s pajamas, I am instantly grinning like crazy.  Treat yourself to a pair or more, you won’t be sorry!

I chose the Ram set to blog this time because I am always teasing Mrs. Raynier affectionately, that she is a stubborn Aries.  I am a Taurus, so you can imagine the ram and bull lock horns on occasion!  I admit I enjoy when she gets fired up in all her Aries glory.  I’ll lock horns with you any day Mrs. Raynier, now until the end of time!

Intrigue My Imagination!

One of the things I try not to forget is to have fun.  Drop your cares away, drift off into a magical place, find exciting adventures.  But as adults we have so many obligations, stresses and worries we often forget to have fun.  We forget to make time to let our imaginations flourish.

As children we have a world of wonderment before us, even in just our room, our back yard, the garage.  The world was one big playground, and I enjoyed those grand imagined adventures to the fullest.  Adults lose touch with their inner child, forget that a broom stick was a sword, and tin foil made a great surface of metal for your cardboard shield.

That old weathered tree was a dragon breathing fire from its huge mouth, mothers garden was the land of the fairies. I used to put on my plastic tool belt and imagine they were all sorts of tools for adventuring.  A trusted helmet on my head, I was unafraid to fall from the huge castle walls my fence became.  My many toys became my sidekicks, equal adventurers who aided me against the many perils we faced.

When I first started adventuring in the virtual world, I discovered a great store that embraced imagination, Intrigue Co.  Creator Katharine McGinnis has a wonderful imagination and creates items and epic pajamas that make you feel like a kid again.  No matter what your age, there is something for everyone to wear or place in your home.

Seeing as it is Friday, I decided to relive my childhood, gear up and have some fun.  These shark gloves from Intrigue Co. are available in two colors for Collabor88. A set of piggy pajamas was just released yesterday as well, available in the main store. Take the short trip and grab them up, have some fun!
