The Men’s Dept-November Collection: The Saint

November already!  Where did the year go?  They say time flies when you are having fun, well that would be true with this past six months, for it has been ultra fun and busy with events.   I love events, they bring about opportunities to explore new venues, brands, and ideas.

Over the past six months I have discovered new places to shop, new and upcoming designers, and have pretty much redone my entire home and wardrobe in high quality mesh.  But more importantly I have learned to do more with my blogging, inspired by the events and creators and organizers involved.

With CINEMA I took my photos into the film poster format and really had the best time I have with my blogging.   That was a push I really needed because I had gotten to the point that my blog which I do for myself, was feeling more like a job and a chore.  CINEMA was one of a kind and sparked my creativity back to life!  Themed around film, a full mesh build of a theater that I swear looked  more real than I could handle, and a plethora of designers bringing about fun, creative and brilliantly done items?  Yes, this was by far an event to remember, like a classic film that paves the way to more innovative filming later on, and will have a great deal of homages to add to the legacy.

Mesh is really dominating and I love that it is!  I got on the mesh train when it started and haven’t looked back since.  Along the way I have persuaded others to try mesh and turned them into meshaholics like myself.

faMESHed showcases mesh and brings together a great line-up of designers to bring us new mesh each 1st of the month.  How can you not love that?    On stop mesh shop thats what I call it and I always find at least 1 item that wows me to my Cajun core!

The 8th used to be an ordinary day, that held no meaning for me. Now, the 8th is Collabor88 day and I get so excited for this random of days that I stay up until midnight to get my goodies!  Designers collaborating on a unified theme with their unique interpretations  sounds like art to me and that is fabulous in my book.

FAIR takes us on a smaller intimate journey of new items that follow a lovely little time period.  Never thought of 5am before beyond oh lord turn the alarm off!  But with FAIR I look at the times on the clock and wonder what the designers will come up with for it.

The Men’s Department is geared towards men, for we are the minority in the realm of shopping compared to our lovely softer female counterparts.  The need for a male-centric event was a must, and answered in the TMD collections each month.  They get better each round, and the cost is so minimal it feels like robbery!  But don’t be fooled, the MENS department is not only for men!  There are so many amazing items offered that are unisex, furnishings and decor that it can easily be the Deptartment, period.  No matter the name, the items are stellar and each collection just brings in something even better than the prior month.  Just take a look at the items so far that I get to show you from November’s collection!

Enjoy your events, and be sure to remember that high traffic means positive economy in SecondLife, that is a win win no matter if you lag a little or can’t get into the venue your first try.  Events are fun and I appreciate them, so thank you designers, creators, and most importantly event organizers.  You are part of my positive SLexperience!
